The MoH Band puts a USB flash drive on your wrist
USB flash drives come in many shapes and sizes, but the MoH Band definitely has one of those “why didn’t I think of that” designs. Unlike other flash sticks that have some kind of clasp to attach them to a key ring or trouser hoop, the MoH Band closes to form a durable silicone wristband.
The idea was thought up by Andrew Kitzenberg who got sick of losing USB flash drives while at school. So he came up with his own design after finding there wasn’t a better product out there to stop you losing your valuable portable data.
There’s a very good chance the MoH Band will achieve its funding goal of $10,000. With 28 days left to go they’ve already managed to raise over $7,000. So it’s almost guaranteed an MoH Band will be heading your way if you pledge some cash.
Apparently it’s one size fits all, so unless you’ve got very large wrists it should fit. You also get a choice of 2GB, 4GB, and 8GB Bands. If you can’t afford to give $30, then $20 will get you a 4GB version.
As for how secure the storage is on your wrist, the clasp doubles as the cover for the USB connection. It looks to be a tight fit, but there is no locking mechanism. It’s unlikely this will come loose due to the thickness of the silicone meaning it should retain its shape over the long term.
